Surf City California name is given to a
location that includes surfing, surf
brake, Pacific Ocean shoreline and
beaches.
In a search of California city names,
there really is none we've found called
Surf City, however. There's a Surf Beach
on the perimeter of Vandenberg Base near
Lompoc...and several places call
themselves Surf City because of local
culture and activities surrounding the
ocean surf and surfing. There is at
least one incorporated Surf City in the
USA and unincorporated town. Both enjoy
tourism, beaches and events surrounding
the lifestyle of the ocean on the
Atlantic Coast.
There's the town of Surf City, North
Carolina, located on the Eastern Shore
of America overlooking the Atlantic
Ocean. This town changed it's slogan in
the past year to reflect its interest in
capturing tourism dollars. It now
proclaims, "Big enough to be competitive
but small enough to be happy."
Surf City, New Jersey is a borough
